    Prestressed concrete piles (PC/PHC piles) is with a very high C/P value, widely used in engineering market. It has the advantages of low cost, easy construction, good quality control, good durability, but still has 3- disadvantages at upper, middle and lower end of pile. The upper-end disadvantage (pile-cap treatment) has been resolved by P1: DH quick concrete pile technology. The mid-end disadvantage (pile-connection) resolved by P2: DH pile-connection technology. So that the prestressed pile bearing capacity, to be fully transferred from the upper-pile to the lower-pile.

 
 
Description:

    Prestressed concrete pile widely used in the engineering market. With advantages of low cost, easy construction, good quality control, durability and others, but there are still 3 disadvantages at the upper, middle and lower ends of pile. Prestressed piles are precast in shop, the material is bulky, difficult to transport, limited in the length of a single section. Naturally, It has to use connections to extend the total length.

    Today, the connection of prestressed concrete pile is mostly in the form of welding at end-plates. It is a good method of effective connection in the short period, and easy to construct in field. The strength of connection can be quickly formed (by welding). However, in the view of structural engineering, due to the corrosion at the end-plates, welding, end of deformed bars corrosion, the pile-connection should be fail. So many important structures/buildings do not accept the type of pile-connection. The main reason is still durability, and loss of tensile bearing.

    In the improvement of mid-end disadvantage (pile-conection), the P2 technology that inherited from P1: DH quick concrete pile technology can joint 2-piles to be a complete reinforced concrete structure, with more corrosion-resistant durability benefits. The P2 technology pre-embedded horizontal reinforcement at the ends of 2-pile in the factory, combined with vertical reinforcement, concrete in site so that the pile can stand for more compressive, tensile, durable, etc.
